Mommy Hearts It Monday – Alexandra Rose

June 23, 2014

Mommy hearts it Monday Mommy Hearts It Monday Alexandra Rose

With the babies teething and drooling so much, there are a couple things I’ve featured lately and can’t live without at the moment….. drool bibs, and my fashionable teething jewelry that the babies can chew on or play with while nursing.  Something I recently found and need to add to the list is the all natural wood teething ring and my favorite ones are by Alexandra Rose.   These are hand made with designer fabrics and are backed in organic bamboo fleece.  They help soothe sore gums the natural way with a solid maple teething ring!  These maple rings are sealed with a USA organic beeswax and organic olive oil rub to prevent splinters, making them safe for gnawing on icon smile Mommy Hearts It Monday Alexandra Rose  Attached are fabric ‘ears’ that are perfect for baby to hold on to, and provide another texture to chew.  The best part? Simply remove the fabric from the ring, toss in with a load of laundry and retie when done.  A reusable teether that your baby or toddler will love for years to come.  Each ring measures 2.5″ and is the perfect size for baby to hold.  Every wooden teething ring comes with a product description & care card which makes them perfect for gift giving!!  I love that the backing is organic bamboo fleece because it is extremely soft and absorbent and feels luxurious on baby’s sensitive skin.  Bamboo possesses antimicrobial properties making it perfect for use on items that will be drooled, chewed and loved on.  Also, bamboo is a sustainable resource and does not need to be fertilized or replanted making it an incredibly eco-friendly textile.

Sounds great right?  But… it gets even better!!!!  Alexandra Rose also hand makes teething tethers!  It’s the perfect way to keep your child’s teething ring close at all times, while protecting it from being dropped or lost.  Pearl snaps close tightly around the wooden ring and the metal clip attaches to your child’s clothing, a bib, blanket, car seat, or stroller.  Each tether is approximately 7 inches long and 1 inch wide.  Teether Tethers are also the perfect way to keep track of pacifiers, snack cups and other small toys.  Simply fasten the tether to the handle of the pacifier, cup or toy and clip on and you’re good to go, and without the worry of dropping, misplacing or germ-ifying icon smile Mommy Hearts It Monday Alexandra Rose  Pictured are the onyx aztec wooden teething rings and gunmetal diamond tethers (sold separately).

Alexandra Rose also makes burp cloths, triangle scarf/drool bibs, and other items for mama and baby.  All items are thoughtfully hand made with style, function and practicality in mind.  Her shop can be found on Etsy.  Also follow Alex on Instagram for giveaways, special discounts, product previews and a glimpse into her life behind the scenes.  You can also follow on Facebook.

Curious how much you’ve used these so far? I purchased a similar one from an etsy shop and the wood ring broke twice! First from me tying on the fabric (not hard even) and second she was chewing on it and it fell when I was standing and holding her. It cracked right in two pieces. Just wondering if we are tuff on them or if they are are very fragile. Thanks for the blog post. Your babes are so darn cute!

Jamie we haven’t used them too much but enough to know that they seem pretty sturdy. The wood is fairly thick. I haven’t tried any from any other shops so I don’t have anything else to compare but I really couldn’t imagine these rings breaking. I would think they would make them pretty tough since they’re mean for babies to chew and probably throw from time to time haha. I would suggest contacting Alexandra Rose directly and asking if she’s heard of any breaking like that. She’s very nice and I’m sure she’d address if anyone was complaining. Best of luck with these!!!
