I am working on a little something for my next “Mommy Hearts It Monday” photos and it’s not quite done yet so I’m skipping a week but…. I can’t leave you all without some pictures of the girls can I? Quick back story on today’s photos… the day our identical triplet girls were born at 31 weeks and 4 days, Alvin was wearing this shirt
Now this wasn’t something that was planned. I had been in the hospital for 5 weeks and they were monitoring me and the babies several times a day. It was a constant roller coaster full of emotion. One day the doctors would say it could be any day, and the next they would say I could probably go weeks longer before delivering. Well the day before was a Sunday and the doctor on duty that day was very optimistic. He said everything looked great and I could probably go a couple more weeks unless something drastic happened. Well, nothing changed drastically, but that morning there was a different team of doctors on duty and my blood pressure had gone up slightly and they decided that the benefit of keeping the babies in a little longer, didn’t out weight the risk of my preeclampsia worsening and me having a stroke or something. They were going to go ahead and deliver. It was such an exciting and scary morning full of tears. I hadn’t had time to prepare myself and didn’t feel ready… but God. Apparently God was ready for our three little miracles to make an appearance. You can view our birth story which was wonderfully told by Crowned Birth Photography here.
Well, Tink & Key, who was one of the first companies I featured on my blog with their neon “Miracle Baby” raglans, also makes a kids shirt with this same scripture…. so naturally, I had to have it! Here are Anaia (left), Grace (middle), and Lily (right) in their Tink & Key shirts to match Dad’s. I could not get Lily to smile this week in the group shots so she got the spotlight this week with the individual picture smiling.
